2009 Senior Games and SilverArts
SENIOR GAMES
An exciting year-round health promotion program for older adults, consisting of wellness programs, games, clinics, fun fitness activities, and opportunities for local, state and national competition. Provides athletic, recreational and leisure experience. Encourages older adults to stay active, renew past skills and develop new ones.
The 2009 Senior Games will take place May 3-17.
SILVER ARTS
A part of Senior Games, giving seniors the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents through a celebration of heritage, visual, literary and performing arts.

To fulfill the wishes of the Hoffmann family,
Henderson County Parks and Recreations set up the Hoffmann Senior Games fund in memory of Harold and Bette Hoffmann. The fund is to promote Sr. Games and Silver Arts, offer scholarship opportunities for those that may not be able to participate due to financial limitations and provide materials or services that would benefit the participants of Sr. Games and Silver Arts.
